Poet in Residence Opportunity

RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITY AT THE POETRY CLUB, GLASGOW

The Poetry Club is currently accepting applications for our first Poet in Residence opportunity.

The successful applicant will receive a three month residency at The Poetry Club and will be featured in Vol. 1 of our new magazine to be released in April 2014. The Poet in Residence will have access to The Poetry Club to work, write, and organise readings or events if he or she chooses, and will also have access to The Poetry Club’s online blog and twitter account.

This residency is aimed for Glasgow-based poets and artists only and is for the period of May – July 2014.

HOW TO APPLY:

To apply, please send 5 examples of your work, a CV if relevant, and a brief written statement outlining how you would like to use this residency opportunity (200 words max).

Call for Submissions – The Poetry Club Magazine

Call for Submissions

The Poetry Club is launching a new magazine and is currently accepting submissions of poetry, writing, photography, and visual art for the first issue of our new publication.

Founded by artist Jim Lambie in 2012, The Poetry Club is both an artwork and an event space in Glasgow that hosts performance, music, poetry and exhibitions. We intend to launch our first printed magazine in April 2014 during Glasgow International Festival of Art 2014.

Submission Guidelines:

Please email submissions to kari@thepoetryclub.net with the subject line: ‘SUBMISSION’

For visual art and photography submissions, please send up to 8 images in TIFF or JPEG format and no bigger than 2MB. All written material should be submitted in DOC format.

The deadline is 28 February, 2014.
